Volunteer Area Descriptions

Team YES! Aquatics of Houston is a non-profit, volunteer run organization. Your assistance and participation of family members is needed and appreciated.  Please use the Calling Post System, above, to sign-up.  Thank you, in advance!

 

Volunteer areas:

Marina Shop - assist in the selection and purchasing of team spirit wear.  Assist in the maintenance and sales of additional stock items , such as:

· Team swim suits

· Spirit shirts

· Swim caps

· Towels

· Other spirit related items

 

Social Events - assist in the planning of special events such as:

· Holiday parties

· End of session (short/long course)

· Other team sponsored gatherings

 

Swim-a-thon® - assist in coordinating the swim-a-thon fundraiser.

 

Club Safety Coordinator - serve as a liaison with Gulf Swimming and USA Swimming concerning safety matters.

 

Official - obtain or maintain certification as an official.  Represent Team YES! as an official by working a minimum of four (4) sessions per year at qualified meets and recertifying every two (2) years.

 

Board Member - have a voice in the direction of the team as a member of the Board of Directors.

Parents and athletes should visit the website at the beginning of each week to determine if training schedule changes were made. Training schedule changes are occasionally made during the month mostly due to pool availability at the high schools. If an unexpected change occurs in the training schedule, we will notify parents through our Calling Post System. You should also use the website to find upcoming events, meets, sign up for meets, and to find meet results.
